Chocolate
Hi, A question for those who have exported f. semen. Have you just sent it overseas or did you have to send an export pedigree with it as well?
t-time
Firstly - I haven't exported frozen semen but somewhere in the back of my mind, I think you do have to provide an export certificate. I've just spent a bit of time checking through the rules this morning - different for each state - and I can't find anything pertaining to exporting semen, only importing - but I do know that if you have semen frozen here in Australia THAT is supposed to be registered. If you import semen there is supposed to be a "true copy of pedigree" provided to register pups resulting from imported semen. It's a start. :D Would be very interested to hear the eventual answer. oakway
Yes its exactly the same as if you were sending the dog its self.
t-time
I was surprised to find that you are supposed to pay a yearly rego fee on stored semen but I suppose once you sell it or if the dog passes on, there has to be some sort of registration in place
Hazz
The recieving owner will need an export pedigree to be able to register the dogs semen in their country.
