Pug Tails

I was watching a bit of an old Movie last weekend "The Great Race" with Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood. circa 1960's

Anyway in one scene a fellow was surroudned by a group of lovely little pugs (maybe six of them?), all appeared to have trim waists and a good spring of rib and were lovely little dogs. As they filmed the back end of the dogs I noticed they all had happy straight waggy tails. I'm sure I've only seen them with little curled tails.

Hugo's is not curly. Sometimes people ask if he's a cross breed because his tail isn't curly.. Poor Hoogz.

He has perfect Samoyed carriage actually :(

ETA oh a better one! (mind the leaves! It's from when Fletcher was a pup and he had an addiction)

But they are carrying their tails over their backs..the pugs in the movie ALL had straight tails wagging out behind them??!!

Zoe has a tail that curls one way and is kinda bent/broken and bends back again. She carries it over her back when walking, running it is out behind her semi straight (as I said it is bent or broken), or when she is asleep its this way.

Bent:

I have never seen a pug with a straight tail. It usually has some bend in it.

Weird I'll have to watch the movie now to check it out

Neither have I! It really stood out, yet I've never seen it.
