Glacius
I was wondering if anyone can suggest something to use as a fly repellant on a possibly pregnant bitch? I usually use Musca-ban on the dogs ears over summer but am unsure if it is safe to use on a bitch in whelp? Any help appreciated
t-time
I use Advantix for ticks and fleas - it is considered safe to use on pregnant bitches and repels insects full stop. Most products do have the pamphlet inside the box with information about use during pregnancy.
Glacius
I wasn't aware that advantix repelled insects?? There is no information on the bottle about use in pregnant bitches, only the manufacturers name and address (no phone number unfortunately) tho that probably wouldn't be hard to find out. I don't actually use any type of flea/tick prevention as we don't get ticks where we are and have never had any problems with fleas.
t-time
Yep - does keep all the nasties at bay :D I *have* to have a product that does ticks and the only time my dogs get insect bites is when they are due for their Advantix. It's not for everyone but the product has been a godsend for me and my dogs. Maybe try another product with the proper warning labels or at least a company contact number?
