Teebs
Hi all A friend of mine has just moved to Canberra and is looking for someplace for her dog to stay when she goes away. She is happy to use a kennel, but had a bad experience last time they used one, she is open for kennels and in home pet care (dont fret pet?) does anyone have any suggestions I can pass on to her? Thanks!! Cin
Perry's Mum
What size dog? Don't Fred Pet is good. I have used Canberra Pet Care in Wickerslack Lane, Queanbeyan but I have heard they are better for big dogs than small ones - mine is medium sized and she did not want to come home after a night there. altheau
I have a mid sized dog. I can second a great experience with Canberra Pet Care in Wickerslack Lane. Yuki stayed 3 nights and we paid for 2 activities a day for her. WIth the bushwalks they give you a photo of them out and about which was sweet as we did not expect it. Yuki looked very happy in both photos, and looked really happy when we arrived as well.
Ms Genki
My dogs go with Best Friend (140 Parkwood Rd MacGregor ACT 2615, ph: (02) 6254 6399) primarily due to the location and they have been great. But I'm envious, I want a picture of my dogs bush walking! Edited April 18, 2010 by Ms Genki

Edslaine
Edward's just stayed for 3 days at the dog 'otel near Hall. He stayed in one of their luxury "suites" with a people double bed to sleep on in quite a large room - with tv if you like. :D There's a huge paddock enclosed with a really high fence and he apparently had a great time in there with a labrador most of the weekend I really liked the owner too. I'll be happy for him to go there again.
Raelene
All of the above have good reports. I found this in the newspaper the other day but have no knowledge of how good it is as I hadn't heard of it before: Home Away From Home Let your dog holiday while you do! Short/long stays welcome, lots of freedom and attention in home environment on secure acreage, no kennels. Ph: 0422 048
