Ive got a purple trolley !!! :D I got mine from C Crates... I love it. Bought it about 9 years ago, boy has it done some hard work. Just about ready for a touch up in the paint department I think. I would love to order another one  :D

Cool!!! Do you have any pics KR? I take it yours was powdercoated before you picked it up? The only thing I'm potentially concerned about with the C Crates trolleys is the weight, but I'm a tough cookie

This is the only one I can find on my work computer.. i have more pics at home.

oooh, purple sparkly Corgis - you could start a new trend!

I think you'd definitely need to use some kind of a sealer, and a prep coat as PF said. Will wait with bated breath to see how it turns out! :mad

 I want to know what you need a purple trolley for...... :)

 The answer to that, of course, is that purple is prettier than silver!!

Don't you think Moose would look spesh in a purple trolley??:laugh:

Hahahaha You would need a HUGE purple trolley for Moose

If I wanted it done I'd probably get it professionally powder coated. Why don't you just get a fancy cover for the crate instead?

I wouldn't want my dogs dropping dead from licking spray paint off the frame.

 Why do your dogs lick the trolley?

If you want to colour aluminium, you have to get it powder coated. Paint will just flake off after a while.

My OH is an aluminium fabricator.

Does he make purple show trolleys???:thumbsup:

I think I am leaning towards an aluminium trolley as opposed to a c-crate one just for the weight factor getting it in and out of the back of my van... can always get it powdercoated myself if necessary after purchase.

Thanks everyone! I have sent an email off to OKS asking prices etc but haven't had a reply as yet... hopefully I'll hear back from him soon.

He has made me two trolleys so far, but none are purple LOL

You would really have to get the parts of the trolley made up, then take them to the powder coaters before assembling it completely. Would be tricky but I have no doubt it can be done.

Because we only buy the material at retail prices, it worked out about $400 to make a good, strong trolley for ourselves. If he ever wanted to do it as a job, we would have to source wholesale materials to be able to sell them at a reasonable price.

But I do love my home made trolleys! I have one with the bars closer together for puppies, and they are both so strong and sturdy.
