APBT
dident think you could ever get rid of a callus, unless you stop overusing that area so to speak, does he lay down on concreat ect?

Mas1981
What's the worry? Why not live with it? I will be honest I just dont like the way it looks, he has lovely shiny black fur everywhere and then his elbow is now white. I know what its from when I am in the kitchen and he has been put outside because he is begging he lays on the mat outside the door so that he can look in and see what I am doing instead of laying on his bed. If the area is dry and not swollen or irritated try that cream and give some Vit E supplementation as well. If there is any swelling or irritation head to your Vets so they can show you how to deal with it as it's usually ingrown hairs.
Bullbreedlover
I have treated successfully in the past, elbow calluses by removing the offending ingrowing hair. Applying a vit E cream and making sure the site does not become infected. Have never had to take any of our dogs to the vet for this. You have to be vigilant and pluck out the hairs with a tweezer. Some can pop out when pressure is applied. The hair wont grow back but you need to remove the dead hair. If left they can become infected. An antibiotic cream can also help.
