I think they are going to contact the council first thing in the morning (can't keep them at their place more than one night) - just wanted to get the word out there in case someone is looking for them, so I said I would post here just in case.

OMG!!! I hope someone is looking for them. Hopefully they are escapees and not dumpees!! Perhaps you could list them on some lost/found doggie sites.

I would be shocked if they are dumpees.. Not saying it never happens but cavaliers do not often get dumped..

Hope they are reunited with their owners as soon as possible..

Your friend did good, NAO! Can be hard to catch one dog, spooked from being lost & among traffic. But 3

Tell your friends to phone the RSPCA Lost & Found to get the details on their data base, too. Some owners of lost dogs tend to phone the RSPCA first.

Gee Wizz, 3 cavaliers! I would say they have escaped from someones backyard. Being people dogs they have absolute no road sence and will run out in front of a car without a motion of fear so I'm so glad you rescued them. :)

Hope the owners have microchipped them and they get reunited soon.

They are now at the local pound, and apparently are known to the staff there - not the first time they have been in there. :)

Ooohh!! Norty little buggers. Hopefully now the owners will fix their fencing or find a way to ensure they are kept safe.

Well done NAO and your friend....

Sounds like some "repeat Offenders" we had here in the Yarra Valley a few years ago. Two Cavs often seen out wandering about Chirnside Park, completely oblivious to traffic , just casually walking across a busy intersection! ;) :D ...AND also known to the local animal aid. Seriously, they must have had "little Cav gardian angels" walking beside them!

Hope they sort the fencing out. Problem is once they have had an "adventure" they often go to great extents to find an escape again! Naughtly little munchkins.
