Hormonal Hairloss

Hi, My Cavvie has been feeding her 4 pups & during that time has lost most of her coat leaving her skin looking scabby. The vet is fairly sure it is only hormonal...she did it last litter but not as bad as this time. Does anyone have any suggestions of a wash or conditioner I can get or have at home which might help. She doesnt seem to be itchy & the pups are weaning so she is only feeding once a day. I am in th ecountry & being Easter weekend nothing much open around here. We are going to the beach tomorrow but hesitate about her swimming. Thanks
