Sue & Waldo
I have been reading the thread below about instructors but I was prompted to start a different one after training this week. Week after week they turn up, answer the same questions and help with owners who are struggling. They do a great job. Last Sunday a lady was walking her dog around and watching. One of them approached her and encouraged her to join up. She didn't want to because her dog can't even sit. After some discussion she joined up. You have encouraged and supported me and helped me train a dog to a level I thought was impossible. And to all the trainers here who post a big thanks! So to all the obedience volunteers (and trainers here) :D And a big THANK YOU!
Tassie
That's a really nice post Sue&Cindy - I'm sure club instructors will appreciate it. It is a commitment, and it can interfere with training our own dogs (my boy and I go to class at another club because of time constraints ), but it can also be very rewarding, to see people and their dogs developing a nice teamwork relationship, and gaining confidence in each other. Nearly every week, someone will have a 'lightbulb moment' - that's always fun.
