Yeah I want to keep training interesting and she really enjoyed learning what the dumbell was about and she's got a very nice hold now so I think she will enjoy learning about the articles.

I remember having to go into the ring at the Darwin Royal for my last CD pass. I was soo nervous and my dog would look at me like I had grown two heads!!!

Her breeder made me a "drink" before I went in to steady my nerves - we it nearly blew them away!!

I think the last minute of her down stay I didn't breathe and they told me they could see my knees shaking from the other side of the ring! But she passed, got her title and Highest in Trial.

So it can be done even with the worst ring nerves ever. I am shocking for it and never really improve!

Go for it Huski if I can do it and not pass out you can! Send that entry in

I only entered my first Open trial because I foolishly sent a pile of entry forms over to a friend I was staying with so she could do enter my agility trials for me along with her dogs and she knew I was seriously procrastinating with the obedience so next thing I get an email saying oh and by the way your entered in the State Obedience Trials handed in your entry last night and no chickening out because I have paid for it . Well hmmmm that gentle prod led to a CDX title 3 trials and 3 weeks later .

Sorry late to this thread...Dyz, where have you been herding? Do you remember little Bronte, well we are aiming for her HT at the end of April, or at the very least an attempt at it. Well done on the CCD too, the plan is to start trialing for that the second half of this year. Probably take us a while to get that though

I am really sorry, I have a terribly memory, can you please remind me of where I would know Bronte from?

How exciting, we will both be doing our tests together in April then. Should be a blast. And will no doubt catch you at obedience too. :D

Good on you with starting CCD also.

I have had a lesson with Kate, and am aiming for another one in April. I have also decided to cancel my obedience trial tomorrow to opt for going out to Kate's to watch the tests... as otherwise I go in totally blind not knowing what to expect at the end of April in our test.

I am dearly hpping to wipe out our CD title on the next couple of months, and then I plan to really get more stuck into the herding. If we can at least go as far as pre trial, for my 7 year old girl and me being a first timer, that will be excellent for us. But who knows, just depends on how Dyzney keeps going with the herding and if I can keep her sound enough for it.

I am dying to get back for another lesson.

Is it just me or does everyone else fall over the sheep?
