Ok I am quite the computer novice when it comes these kind of things, hope you don't mind me asking.... Is that done the adobe photoshop? :D

I am looking at doing a short course on it, cause that was pretty cool and I'd love to do that with some of my photos!

You can do pretty much anything in photoshop.

Usually with that, I would take the background and use a gaussian blur on it so instead of seeing the stuff in the background, you just see a blur of colours like you would if you were to use a prime lens to take the photo. Then if the colours were too overpowering, I'd desaturate them a little - 2 very easy things to do in photoshop.

If I get around to setting my computer up again tonight (i've had windows reinstalled this week) I can show you what I mean if you like.

yes it was edited in photoshop :( Its a simple program, I never took a course in it as I felt it was a pretty easy program to use, and anything you need to know can be found online in an array of tutorials, often more informative and convenient that what you may learn in a class.

I could've done that shell, but for some reason I just decided to do it the hard way and erase it altogether then repair any hairs i may have removed.

Oh is it really simple? :( All the stuff I see come from it looks awesome so I presumed it would be hard.

I might just get it and have a play around with it then, I usually find it the best way to learn!
