16Paws
Is there somewhere in or around Brisbane (within 30-45mins) which has an enclosed swimming area? With 3 dogs in the household at the moment and none with recall skills worth mentioning it's become almost impossible to take them swimming and 3 long lines is just trouble waiting to happen. Scarlet
Sweeney's reserve at Petrie is quite good but it is not entirely fenced. The park is but not the river, so as long as they return to you on the bank you would be OK? http://www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/living.aspx?id=652 Otherwise I don't think you would get any "water" fully fenced apart from a dam on someones property. 16Paws
Thanks Scarlet, we haven't been out there so will take a scenic drive one day soon and have a look.
daisygirl
Nudgee Beach has a fully fenced run and then the swimming part is totally unfenced. Could you put two dogs in the fully fenced part with someone to supervise and then just have one dog on a long rope and let one at a time swim?? I had to use a long rope when I had a foster dog before Christmas but he still managed to nearly wipe out half a dozen people so I can understand your reluctance to do all three at once. JackieW
An alternative might be a doggy swimming pool where you could swim as well - http://www.glemaraypetspa.com.au/. There's a large fenced yard around the pool shed too.
