(Belleville, Illinois) PETA terrorists put antifreeze in water dishes when

dogs were out being shown.

The handlers noticed the pink color (they said it

looked like Kool-Aid) and changed the water, discovering by the odd smell

what it was.

It was announced over the loudspeaker to not put your dogs into

their crates without checking water dishes first. Lots of people immediately

took their dogs ou t and locked them in motor homes.

We just decided that one

of us would be guarding the crates at all times from now on. I am furious

about it. This is what they consider Ethical Treatment of Animals? They are

sick people.

Antifreeze KILLS, the animals die after organ failure.

They kill more animals than they protect, why would they set laboratory animals loose to die on the road, or release exhibitors dogs from crates at dog shows?

A little research into PETA tactics will shock you.

I see a lot of stuff on DOL slamming PETA, but Im yet to see any real evidence to support that veiw. The information presented as evidence of PETA being evil is almost always from sources explicitly compiled to discredit PETA or just hearsay. It may be that some members of PETA are evil nutters, but then many organisations have those, and its not really fair to present their veiws as indicative of the organisations philosophy or activities. It may also be that PETA has some extremely disgruntled enemies who go to a lot of effort (such as setting up domains entitled petakillsanimals) to grind their axe.

Its hard to tell whats going on with the sort of information that makes its way onto DOL.

Are you serious? There is plenty of credible info. Are you saying that Ingrid Newkirk herself is lying in interviews, she doesn't hide the fact she wants pet ownership to end. I guess if you can't read the information on PETA and see the real story by now you never will.

Personally they lose me right here The myth of animal over population has been exploded. PETA would see every companion animal desexed.. EVERY one. That's the end of companion dogs in one generation. And that's directly from their website.

No dogs at all .. that's what they want and that's not hearsay.

I see they are gunning for the Iditarod now.

No proof as far as I know - which is why I wrote "just in case it is true" in my original post - but there is a lot of talk about it on us lists.

Seems it did happen, seems PETA is being blamed.

Not the first time, apparently. Happens quite often. This is not "official" notification, just what actually happened at the show by an exhibitor.

Most people know to avoid puppy mills and "backyard" breeders. But many kind

individuals fall prey to the picket-fence appeal of so-called "responsible"

his or her animals, as long as dogs and cats are dying in animal shelters

and pounds because of a lack of homes, no breeding can be considered

All breeders fuel the companion animal overpopulation crisis, and every time

Dogs and cats don't care whether their physical appearance conforms to a

judge's standards, yet they are the ones who suffer the consequences of

humans' manipulation. Inbreeding causes painful and life-threatening genetic

defects in "purebred" dogs and cats, including crippling hip dysplasia,

blindness, deafness, heart defects, skin problems, and epilepsy. Distorting

animals for specific physical features also causes severe health problems.

The short, pushed-up noses of bulldogs and pugs, for example, can make

exercise and even normal breathing difficult for these animals. Dachshunds'

long spinal columns often cause back problems, including disk disease.

Adoption: The Only Compassionate Option

There is no excuse for breeding or for supporting breeders. If you love

animals and are ready to care for a cat or a dog for the rest of the animal

s life, please adopt from your local animal shelter, where there are dogs

and cats galore—tails wagging and hearts filled with hope, looking out

through the cage bars, just waiting to find someone to love. Shelters

receive new animals every day, so if you don't find the perfect companion to

match your lifestyle on your first visit, keep checking back. When you find

your new best friend, you'll be glad that you chose to save a life—and made

I read this somewhere...supposedly verified but who knows. Anyway it's worth a read...

PETA, the organisation supposedly standing for animals was recently found to have blasted several pigs into space to protest against the Pigs in Space Muppet sketch. A NASA spokeperson (who wished to remain anonymous) is quoted as saying, "Yep, it's true, we could see the poor little oinkers orbiting around Neptune".

In a marriage of convenience, it is believed that PETA enlisted the help of Iraq's notorious terrorist group "WSBTPABTU" (We Strap Bombs To Pigs And Blow Them Up") and in a world record for porcine speed, achieved escape velocity.

The Guiness Book of World Record is currently verifying several aspects of this story.

Sounds like it is from The Onion, whereas the post above is from PETA themselves. So you don't believe what PETA themselves say then? Do you need the link to the document proving the euth rate? It's not fake. If PETA themselves say they want to stop any more dogs being bred, why don't people believe them?
