I know! Once she's in theres no getting her out not even a ball can entice her out :grouphug:

You should see her without other dogs around she's even worse, she swims in circles and i call her out and she comes and just when i'm about to put her lead on she bolts back in  Gosh she's trouble sometimes when it comes to water! I swear she's not going in as much tomorrow if i can help it...

They sound like lovely walks sticks. :)

Having my 3 idiots we don't get time to take in the scenery until they are a bit more.. tired.

I have taken them to Hanging Rock, which was lovely. By the time we were up the top of HR, they were, not so energetic, so the OH and I could could actually sit down, and look around. See the beautiful view from the top. ;)

It was a beautiful walk.

Think we might have to do another Hanging Rock walk soon.

We took the dogs to hanging rock on Saturday but the pamphlet they gave us said dogs arent allowed to climb the rock. We were disappointed but took them for a nice walk around the grounds. I was a bit concerned about snakes too. There are signs warning about them

its a massive park with the river running alongside. lots of nice people. we love it. would be great to see you there!

just dont go wednesday nights- there is a group that meets (informal) all with the same breed and the dogs have attacked bert and another dog whilst they stood back and did nothing and then told us to 'f#ck off' out of their park. have reported them to council but nothing has changed so we simply dont go on a wednesday night, not worth the risk :mad

Nice attitude! Unlikely we would get there Wed's anyway. Might check it out one weekend, especially as we are about to lose daylight savings.

We go to eastern beach alot with the dogs (onlead only). They love it and it's good socialisation. I also do the markets around here, especially Queenscliff market. Newman makes a B-line to the "gourmet dog biscuit" lady and the couple that sell everything dried from pig snouts to bull pizzles (can't stand the smell of those).

Same thing happened when I went the first time! :D

The second time I saw a lady walking her sheltie down the rock, so I asked someone who works there. Dogs are allowed up the rock now - they need to change some signs. :mad

My dogs loved to bounce up those steep stairs. :mad:mad

Thanks for that info.I wish I had asked someone and not just gone on what the pamphlet said. We will go again although it is a couple of hours away for us.

Ever tried having a picnic with two labs. :( Your lucky if you get anything to eat and what you do get to eat you feel guilty about ,as they both gaze at you with sad faces. We had lunch in Woodend last time which is so busy on a Saturday.

We had a lovely day out with a picnic and stroll yesterday at truginia park which is next to Altona. lovely spot, plenty of room for dogs to run around in. clean picnic tables, free bbq facilities.

dogs got a bit hot so we drove 5 mins down the road to altona dog beach and let them have a splash

Just got back from Tooradin Foreshore, dogs had a great time as usual, managed to score some BBQ sausage from members of my family. Nice small town to walk around, pity the tide was out so a lot of mud.Still nice dog friendly place.
