pinkpuppy
Hi I have a young german shepherd male, about 7 months and his ears are fairly soft. They stand up but when he runs they bend and flop etc. Is there any suppliments I can give him to help his ears firm or do I just have to hope they come right? Fordogs
pinkpuppy, be sure to give him some big beef knuckle bones to chew on. Glucosamine Chondroitin is also good for the cartilage also.
APBT
no, no supplements will do anything for the ears, if his teething atm then the ears will be doing all sorts of weird things, if you really wanted to you could tape/glue them, but really its no big deal. RoxyNHemi
If you google taping shepherds ears, there are a few sites that explain what to do, and if it is required. Cheers
SwaY
Tape or glue them up.
KitKat
Give him good bones that he can eat the lot - eg lamb flaps, turkey pieces etc - lots of chew toys - it builds up the muscles around hte jaw and below the ear etc Also his ears will be all over the place until teething fully settles down They are so cute when their ears are left, right and centre all at the same time
