jipsi01
We have a 10 year old GSD and have recently adopted a 10 week old red heeler. They are BOTH females. The GSD is desexed, the RH is too young (but will be as soon as she is old enough!!) And they BOTH have this very weird habit of licking each others private parts. Why? and can I stop it? And then my girl the GSD, wants to come and give us kisses ------ gross!!!!
persephone
They are dogs Dogs behave very differently to humans.. and most things they do are perfectly normal. Unless they are sitting there licking for minutes on end... just totally ignore it. or, if it does upset you- walk off ,or into another room, then call one or the other to you, and do a couple of minutes training, just as a distraction for everyone
Starkehre
as pers says. It would not bother me, and I would not try to stop it unless 1. they were causing any inflamation or chaffing to each other 2. if either dog was not fond of the licking. I would see it as a respectful grooming.

spottychick
Yeah - not wierd at all. And not really gross. Just normal doggy affectionate stuff. Don't worry about it.
