Erny
IMO, we have a tendency to wash our dogs too often or at least, using shampoo too often. Instead of being concerned about how often I wash my dog, I tend to focus on how often I don't. The last bath my dog had was a year ago. kiesha09
Wow I almost feel bad because I try to wash my dogs as little as possible!!! Its a job I loathe :D They get professionally groomed about every 3 months and they may not get a bath in between. But they do get brushed regularly!!! They love water - dirtier and muddier the better so often I'll hose them off after a walk and I try to take them swimming at the beach on weekends so they go back to looking white :D works a treat. Christina
All get bathed every 2 weeks, unless there is a long heatwave on, a quick brush most days, bedding changed about weekly. It is quite dry & dusty here & poodles get messy. It is also unpleasant & can hurt for them to have knots & matts untangled so its best not to let them form in the first place. They like having a brush. When I had short coat dogs they were not bathed as often but they were brushed regularly with a pure bristle brush. AussieDog
My two get washed at home in the bath tub every 8-weeks or so.
