Steve
http://www.weeklytimesnow.com.au/article/2...ck-paddock.html March 2, 2010 THE internet might be fast but it can still take an eternity to fix mistakes. Our eagle-eyed dairy scribe was checking out the RSPCA's website and raised a puzzled eyebrow at its claim that 40 per cent of dairy cows suffered mastitis and that 16 per cent had their tails docked. A flurry of emails and phone calls soon set them straight but it took several goes to get the mastitis figure amended to the proper figure of 5 per cent. And, as of Monday, the tail docking figure still hadn't been changed to the most recent figure of 10 per cent. In the meantime, how many members of the public have the 40 per cent mastitis figure stuck in their heads?
