Dog Finds Kibble Boring After Eating Raw Meaty Bones

So I have had Shyla on 70% raw for about 2 months now and you can sooo see she has a nicer coat, she used to have coarse fur, it is now soft and shiny and amazing!

Anyway since having raw meaty bones for dinner every day and offal once or twice a week etc.. she doesn't seem interested in her cup of dry she gets for brekky every day (now swapped it to dinner instead and bones for brekky). I will put the bikkies down and she will sniff them and eat unexcitedly, and if I open the cupboard or fridge or walk off he will follow me and look at me and then have a stretch, dawdle, then go back and eat some more, go away, eat some more til they are all gone. But nowhere near as into them as she used to be. Give her bones from the freezer instead and WOAH her eyes light up. So I don't think she's sick or anything... is she just cottoned onto the fact that hey bones and raw meat are sooo much tastier??

I think you maybe right . Maybe shes testing you out to see if mum will feed her the good stuff

Yeah its interesting!! She will eat them eventually but if I go near the fridge (her bones are in the freezer) or near the cupboard (treats n stuff) she comes over to see if anything else is on offer LOL.

My girl is on a Raw diet.

Occasionaly I have had to give her kibble if we are away or if I was lazy and hadnt made her vegies up

I have to disguise the kibble with egg and yoghurt or she wont really eat it. She may pick at it but thats all.

I raw feed my two boys, and it's interesting. If I happen to have some cooked meat around, and I mix it with their raw meat, they will first pick out the raw, and then go for the cooked. The won't even touch the kibble or canned stuff. Dogs were 'made' to eat raw, not the processed foods that so many of us feed. Your fur kid is not just a pretty face, and she is trying to tell you something.

Completely normal. I feed a lot of raw to dogs in a boarding kennel. Lots of dogs eat the raw and ditch the biscuits. Get lots of reports that the dog won't eat its biscuits for awhile after it goes home. Have converted quite a few owners to feeding raw.
