kbrown
Any suggestions welcome. I am tired of waiting for my SIL to do it and want someone reliable and well recommended. I have a GR who needs doing. I don't want to spend a fortune but the right amount for the right company. Thanks for your help.

WreckitWhippet
Clean Canines. I think you really get what you pay for when it comes to grooming. If you want someone to spend the time and do an excellent job, then you need to be prepared to pay for their time and expertise
Ceilidh
Just out of curiousity, what do you need to have done? Just a brush, a tidy up and a bath? Why not get a mobile around?
kbrown
Yeah a brush, a clip, a wash. I don't know of any mobile ones people recommend. Have been told a lot are no good but none that are good. Open for opinions.

Ceilidh
You don't mean he is clipped off? Just a tidy up of feathering and a regular brush and bath is all that a goldie needs.
bedazzledx2
I am a groomer and you really do get what you pay for. I will not clip any double coated dog unless its for a medical reason but there are plenty of groomers who do and you will need to specify exactly what you want done. Also my definition of a regular brush out and yours may be different. I like to have the dog brushed and combed thoroughly, not just a quick go over on top! It also depends on the amount of maintenance you are prepared to put in between grooms and the coat of your dog. Goldie's coats vary from being real easy and light to very thick and a lot of work. When you make your first contact with your groomer ask what the price includes. You don't mean he is clipped off? Just a tidy up of feathering and a regular brush and bath is all that a goldie needs. shells
Try Angel Paws http://www.angelpaws.com.au/site/ I have found her very good when I used a groomer. She is mobile but books out a couple of weeks ahead so you will need to call soon. I will PM you one I found awful.
