Dobeliscious
Hi, Thanks for asking. Things are going well. Mollie is doing a fab job of being a mum. Though i was telling Alicia last night I feel so sorry for her when we go past and she gets so excited and wants to play, then realises she can't. Here are some more pics of Mischa, now 6 days old. Any ideas on what type of dog daddy is??? I think Daddy may have been a guinea pig! Only joking Keep the pics coming it's a great story and I am keen to hear more news as Mischa grows. sallywill
I was told there are alot of Border Collies in Mudgee, which is apparently where she "had her fun" This was a week before we got her, so I have no idea. Will have to wait and see I guess! @ Mentmint - Her name is Mischa, and we will keep her. @ Mars - She does kinda look like a guinea pig! ~*Shell*~
She's very cute! My guess would be BC too but I'm no expert! We'll definitely need more pics as she grows!
persephone
Mischa is looking good! No reason her mum cannot have a race around and a play at all just make sure there is a source of warmth for the pup.. say a WELL WRAPPED hot water bottle ..or a warm wheat bag.... and by all means let mum have a few minutes run around the yard - chase the ball, whatever
Ashanali
Pers - Sally was talking about taking her out for a walk. She knows she can have zoomies in the yard, just not out of the yard incase some nasties like parvo are picked up and brought back on a walk. sallywill
Pers - Sally was talking about taking her out for a walk Ah Ok- no ..tell Mum she is in the maternity ward for a reason! :D Thanks, ashanali. Thanks, Yeah, she is getting used to it. But now, Mischa is crawling, commando style into the corder of the box and just crying. Mollie is in there, happy to feed, but Mischa crawls away? Even when I try to latch her on??? Any ideas?
Kirislin
Mastitis? are her teats hot and swollen? belly ache? I dont know but it doesn't sound right. How long's she been like that?
Ashanali
Sometimes mum can make them too hot but bub wanders away and finds it too cold. Try a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel. Pup may prefer to cuddle up to that between feeds. (It gets easier when their eyes open and can see exactly what they want. )
