I have tried using Laser Lites 'No More Stains', and have followed the directions for mixing it up. I end up with something the consistency of wet sand though :o . The 'crystals' dont dissolve at all.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try hot water BMP.. or heat the mixture.

Agree, warm water from the tap and stick it in the microwave for about 15secs (just watch it doesnt go foamy and spill out)

Wait till its cooled and apply.

What part of the body are you using it on??

I'm using it on muzzle and paws. I mixed it with boiling water, but still didn't get dissolving happening! (it looked sort of dissolved, but when it cooled it was like damp sand) So will try the microwave.

Is it supposed to be green and smell of .... sewage? :o

Maybe the smell makes the stains run away :vomit::vomit::o

I had the same problem, with undisssolved particles on the bottom, or like using liquid sand, you forgot to mention the smoky haze that rises up when hot water is added. I spoke to LL who sent a new tub, and after a couple of uses it went the same way. Gave up on it, but might try the other suggestion. I was using on bitches pants or skirts (depending on which breed you have) to help get rid of wee stains.

I found it worked great with my crown royal shampo

Part LL, Part Crown Royal into a Pump water bottle, topped up warm water, and shook like buggery, then applyed and it lathered up very very well!

It was still slightly crystally, and actually frothed lots from the shaking.

I didn't want to scare anyone else off ;)

So, with your second batch, did it dissolve properly at first? (ie maybe the problem is the age of the 'crystals')

Yes second batch was OK for first one or 2 tries, then it went the same way - pity the tubs are so large. Not sure if LL have looked into it and wether the powder/ crystals need one of those little moisture absorbing satchets you seem to find in everything !

OK, I just spoke to Trish from Petcetera. Her advice is to:

- add boiling water to the 'crystals' and wait till it mixes in

- add shampoo and mix to a managable paste

- apply to dog and leave for from 15 mins to several hours depending on breed

- rinse off

- shampoo as normal

- condition well with something like LL protein conditions.

So, CnR gets the prize for having worked out the best method of using it

It smells like it has a bleaching agent in it (have you ever smelt the peroxide bleach mix at the hair dressers)

Trust me, it took a few goes for me to work out that method!

OK, the plot thickens  . My 'No more stains' *doesn't* smell like it has a bleaching agent in it. I talked to an exhibitor friend about this, and she gave me her container of 'No More Stains' purchased a while ago. Hers is white powder that *does* smell like a bleaching agent, *does* dissolve in hot water etc. Mine is completely different - more like green, rocky, crushed seaweed, smells like a sewer, *doesn't* dissolve. YET THEY BOTH HAVE EXACTLY THE SAME INSTRUCTION LABEL ON THEM :D

So methinks the product has been changed from caustic to an enzyme based, but the new instructions have been forgotten :D

The white caustic powder works well with the instructions given. So .... who out of those who posted has the white caustic version, and who has the green seaweed version??

i have heard the E Z white is very good at removing stains, just use it as hot as possible and leave on for several minutes. I haven't tried it as I don't currently have a dog who needs it.
