Elfin
I would like to thank you all for your support. We are doing well today (apart from the realisation that the bottle of red I opened to toast Toby's life with was worth even more than I thought. Ooops, but he was worth it). It is very odd not having him around the house. Or constantly screaming at me for food. I keep thinking I see him out of the corner of my eye. The dogs seem OK; Elfin is a bit clingy and was quite "down" this morning, but is a little brighter this afternoon. Thank you again for all your kind words; it is so comforting to know that there are others that can share your grief. di_dee1
I send you my love. I too had my darling old cat PTS this morning but at the vet's. With any death (my animals come home and are buried in a pet cemetery on our farm,I let any dog/cat sniff them, sit with us. After this happens they really don't seem to have any grief, maybe they are just a bit quiet for a little bit then for them it is business as usual. Bilbo Baggins
RIP Toby Run free. Elfin I always let my living ones sniff the departed one. They all do and sometimes go back to where the body was.
