snake catcher Posted February 21, 2010 Share Posted February 21, 2010 (edited) I thought Id make a thread just for this mongrel. He is a Ridgeback/Amstaff/Kelpie. I was at a petshop looking at the mess the pups were being kept in and making mental notes ect, as you do. A young girl rocks up in an old holden with a box of pups on the back seat. She is upset that she has to take her pups and sell them to the pet shop. In the box,6 pups,all tan coloured with defined ridges on their back and one black and tan with no ridge. I was there with my daughter and she and i fell for the black and tan. The girl told me they were ridgy staffy crosses and i believed her. The shop wanted to give 50$ each and she was pi$$ed at them and so was I I bought the black and tan off her for $100 and took her number and told her id get rid of the rest of her pups for her and she should take them away and not bother with the petshop,,grrr. Anyhoo, found good homes for all the pups and 4 years later, here we are. Cheers Oh yes, i saw pics of both parent and they were nice looking dogs to. snake catcher Posted February 21, 2010 Author Share Posted February 21, 2010 Thanks GeckoTree, he's a beautifully tempered dog to and now I have trained him to leave the chooks alone life is a bit easier around here. He went through a phase of chicken plucking but he's over it now. We have a leash free park around the corner from here and thats where he has a run with other dogs,he is well known there to. The colours come from the kelpies,the body shape is ridgeback i think and the head has the amstaff look about it. So no rotty and no dobe in him.
