Caesars mum
Help people, Olympus is vomiting green bile, we have a vet appointment at noon but they said to bring him in earlier if it didn't settle so heading off soon. a couple of weeks ago he stopped eating and it took a week to get him back onto food, he was doing well after 3 trips to the vet and blood tests and vitamin b shot and antacids. he was doing so well, but yesterday morning threw up his breakfast and has not eaten since and is vomiting everytime he has water. anyone with ideas as to what could be the problem Edited February 20, 2010 by Caesars mum

Casster17
not good... I would get to vet ASAP to get fluids into him... could be a variety of reasons for his illness Good luck and please advise us how he goes...
poodlefan
As a wild stab in the dark I'd wonder about pancreatitis but you've done the smart thing heading straight for the vet. I hope Olympus feels better very soon!
Caesars mum
I'm back from the vet, they referred him on to a specialist vet for ultrasound and xrays, he is there now, I stayed for a while but they sent me home as it will be a while before they do the chest xray and they want to re-ultrsound his stomach as he had a drink just before we went. His kidneys are fine, and urine test is good. so now I wait
Caesars mum
the vet just called Olympus has to stay in hospital over night, they want to re do his ultrasound in the morning as he had a drink of water before we went and it is shadowing several areas. I was surprised they said his stomach is so full, because he only had a small drink for him before we went. His xrays were all clear and organs are all good, but he does have fluid outside his stomach that has them concerned. please send him lots of healing vibes, I'm beside myself with worry, I have never had to leave a fur kid in hospital for the night. cowanbree
Still could be a partial blockage, that is what Cowan has. Has been going on for 6 weeks. Eating on and off, seemed ok but not 100% and then started vomiting last weekend

Caesars mum
today was the hardest day of my life, I lost a friend who looked to me to look after him and take care of him, he was with us for such a short time and we loved him so much. today Olmpus was diagnosed with stomach cancer and was given a poor prognosis, and when i spoke one on one at the surgery they could not say if he would even make it off the table. I spent an hour with him, telling him I loved him and that he was breaking my heart, but at the bridge he could chase all the SWF and cats he wanted to, and that they had lamb for dinner every night, his favourite. Told him that Mega would be there to meet him and to tell her we are ok and that she was not to boss him around, but look after him and be his snuggle bunny as he was ours. I told him that there was a special someone who was waiting for him and would give him all the cuddles and let him drool on her when ever he wanted too, she will be there for him with open arms and lots of love and kisses. I held him in my arms and sat with him while he drifted off to sleep and onto the bridge, he was so peaceful and looked at me with eyes full of love and devotion, I caressed him and held him tight in my arms. we had such a short time with Olympus, but he saw new things and made new friends we went to the beach and he played in the water, he meet dogs at the park of every colour and breed he learned to love car trips and would sit up and check out the people in the other cars he would try to get in the bath with Caesar and Nala, who would happily swap places with him and let him have there bath and he would have obliged. I will miss his happy face when I got home from work and he would follow me everywhere and nudge/nip me on the bum until I stopped and gave him cuddles and pats. I will miss the slingers on the lounge room walls and not being able to see out the car windows for drool. We are given such a huge responsibilty to look after them and make the right decisions for them, to do our best to keep them safe and let them know they are loved and sometimes to make choices that leave us broken and feeling defeated, but it is best for them, to be pain free and in a better place then we can provide them. To Lesley, Frank, John and Jim thank you for blessing me with this very special man, I'm sorry he had such a short time with us. I hope and pray he was happy here because we feel blessed to have had him and broken to have lost him so soon. Lesley, thank you for all your help today, I could not have been as strong without your devotion and strength.
