Peanut Butter. Sophie goes mad for it and it keeps her busy for ages. I use a butter knife to spread it around the inside of the fat end and then pop in a few chunks of cheese (not much as it's not good for them to eat much) and some liver treats and then seal that end up with peanut butter. Makes one happy puppy!

Peanut butter, cream cheese, sardines (frozen), nature's gift wet dog food (frozen), beef or chicken stock with a few bits of kibble thrown in (frozen), a little bit of honey smeared around the inside with kibble and then sealed with peanut butter.

When I freeze I usually plug the small hole up with cream cheese or peanut butter first then stand upright inside a container in case it leaks.

Great idea, I will have to get some and try that. It isn't full of rubbish is it?

Ivy tends to get a kong once a week with kibble and peanut butter to seal the big end and popped in the freezer over night.

Liverwurst!!!! He loves it.

Mine too!! We also use a little lite philly cream cheese in the big end, mix his kibble with a bit of wet dog food and he LOVES that. When he was still getting used to the idea of the kong and what to do with it we tried all sorts of things; meat baby food was a hit, and was all natural, no nasties just meat and veges. I always stuff an 'unobtainable' piece of liver in the small end too.

I think it's one of the better wet foods around. I wouldn't feed it all the time but as a treat inside a kong it is pretty good. I just buy the little 100g tray varieties.

On the topic of kongs...are the puppy kongs worth getting? Is there any difference really, should I just get a normal one?

There is a big difference between the puppy kongs and the standard kongs; the puppy kongs are much softer and are easy to squeeze whereas the standard ones are pretty firm. We tried giving Chestnut a standard kong recently and the kong stayed completely full! I find I get success with using the puppy kongs and just pack the food in harder if I want it to last longer.
