huski
I haven't used an isqueak before, but because Micha is very prey driven but reluctant to tug and he goes nuts for anything squeaky so I often use them in training. So I use squeaky toys as a reward just as you would use food or a tug, by bouncing it and letting him catch it or throwing it and letting him chase it (I know it's naughty but he won't ever be a competition dog so it's ok ). I am happy to do a video of him 'working' for his isqueak when they get here Would love to see the video. Was he always more interested in toys as a reward rather than food?? My lab also loves squeak toys but he loves food just as much and when we get to an area with lots of dogs he tends to ignore toys, I would rather use a toy than food as a reward though. He's always been very prey driven which is why he goes nuts for squeaky toys. But, he's also quite food driven so I can easily work him with food as well if I want to. I think if I had developed it properly from the time we bought him home as a puppy I could get him working well for a tug toy, but because he'll be eight years old this year and we only train for fun I just use whatever he enjoys most. Micha will happily work for a squeaky toy just about any where. He loves to chase and catch things.
pie
Welcome to my world Really glad that others are getting as much pleasure from them as my kids do. I still don't know why they are so popular, compared to other balls and squeakies. He was bad with the Cuz balls, but this is something else! They are by the same people as the Cuz balls too! But easier to squeak. Obviously they impregnate the rubber with some kind of illicit drug

megan_
We eagerly await this magic ball! How do people use it as a reward for training? Throw it and the dog chases? Give it to them to squeak? Both mine are very prey driven and love their squeaky toys. My girl is alwas too "shy" to tug/play in public, so hopefully these will be too much for her to resist. pie
I have a problem using Cuz balls for training with Kyzer because as soon as he sees it he takes off running to get a head start thinking I'm going to throw it I think I should try harder to use the isqueak, I'll just make sure he doesn't see it first and then throw it once he's done what I want! bedazzledx2
I was woken up this morning with a green I squeak in my face....that one is now in the drawer . This evening the blue one got carted around and when he wanted a drink it landed in the water bowl for safe keeping and then dripped all over the floor back to his bed! Very entertaining!!!! ;) You've created a monster Ptolomy, last night I let my two play with their small ones (of course Trixie only wants the one Kyzer has at the time) and they had a great old time , then I put them both outside to toilet and forcefully removed and hid the isqueaks on the top of a cupboard in the bedroom, all was good, it was 11pm so they were tired and went to sleep, but this morning I was awoken by Kyzer barking and crying and trying to jump up to the top of the cupboard to get his isqueak. :DOh nooooo, I'll have to hide them in the freezer Welcome to my world Really glad that others are getting as much pleasure from them as my kids do. I still don't know why they are so popular, compared to other balls and squeakies.

pie
Yep, Kyzer seems reluctant to put his down... he likes the blue one the best, and if I throw the red one instead he gives me a disgusted look Got a photo quickly this morning but it's pretty lousy. Ptolomy
I went to the post office at lunch time and posted some more i-squeak packages off. The man at the counter took the parcels from me and was carefully placing them into larger state bags when a package slipped out of his hand and landed on the floor, squeaked and bounced. The look on his face was priceless.
