Ptolomy
Because of my Tonka Car set up the only threat to my treats is Aex the toller jumping in the front seat and stealing them. He is one of a kind

He is one of a kind Ptolomy - my Kirra is one of those - I didn't latch her crate door properly the other week - came back to find her sitting happily in the driver's seat, having gone through the car with the efficiency of an over-enthusiastic customs officer . ness
poor Alex. Ness is the same though but both my two are developing a habit (after tracking season) of jumping in strangers cars to clean them out for food too - doesn't help that they have a "friend" who encourages it. We went out to help plot and she kept dognapping my dogs. Now any time they see her car they immediately jump in . I have come back to my car to find the treats eaten - that just means the only dog to get trained is Kenz .

Yes I have a houdini too, at the QLD state/national trials earlier this year I didn't zip Ella's soft crate up properly and she got herself out and spent probably the better part of half an hour chilling out near my gazebo unrestrained. Everyone thought she was either doing a long stay or was tethered somehow, it wasn't til she decided to go visiting and anyone realised she was loose! pie
And that is why I have Trixie in an airline crate Or my treats wouldn't stand a chance I have put treats on the coffee table once then gone into the kitchen for two seconds to get the clicker only to walk back in to an almost gone bowl of treats, she is so shameless
RubyStar
I left my training bag with a brand new packet of 4 Legs a bit too close to a tethered Ruby at retrieving once.... Millie is my treat stealer from the front seat of my car. Now treats get put on the bonnet most of the time.
ness
Ness has been known to open those plastic jackpot containers and help herself to their contents .

You know you WILL drive off with your treats AND your UD scent articles still on the bonnet one day happens to everyone at least once!!!! Ptolomy
So Seita - which class are you and Ella aiming for a 200 in? and are you going to give UDX a go?? Good Luck - a 200 is something very special

ness
Ok on the subject of 200's - do different states find judges less or more willing to give out the "perfect score". Xena98 might be in a better position then me to know how regularly they are given out here in SA but the only one I am aware of here was a few years ago at the NYE night trial. I am not aware of any others (not to say they don't happen) but curious. I was having a bit of a chat to Seita who said in Qld there are a few a year and often to the same dogs. Any other states care to add there input?

I've gotten as far as get in my car, put seatbelt on the turn car on, to either spot treats or articles still on bonnet or have someone flailing their arms about at me to tell me I have stuff on my bonnet
Seita
So Seita - which class are you and Ella aiming for a 200 in? and are you going to give UDX a go?? Good Luck - a 200 is something very special Any and All. To be honest if I never get there it's not going to upset me but I want consistency and more reliability from Ella which is my main goal for "project 200". If I end up with a 200 out of it then I'll be a happy camper. I will eventually go to UDX but my plans for next year are to play in Open and UD for a bit, maybe take a stab at taking out one of the top dog awards for QLD. I might incorporate a bit of UDX into my retraining of things for other levels like the seekback for example. I've already got a positions in motion and a change of position so I'm part way there! ness
speaking of raiding treat containers somebody must have read this thread before we left for training tonight. Hmmmm trained Ness who showed at 11 that life is a party and anticipated all her finishes in Open. Any way I put her away and got Kenz out, returned later with Kenz after putting Kenz through the ring and found Ness in my boot - jackpot container open (yep one of those plastic clip lock containers) and contents consumed. Nice work Ness . Ah well gotta laugh at the determination and thats just sooooo a Ness thing to do .

ness
A training session tonight with a little more then we first bargained for - headed out to club early to do a bit of send away training and encountered not 1 bike but at least 25 bikes (no you don't see them all on the video but trust me). Not bad for a dog who is a serial bike chaser of the first order :D. Edited November 1, 2011 by ness
