Congrats Wuffles and Murve

My drop is back but today's 'wtf' moment was Poppy doing a right about turn on the callers command! I've had to be careful with sits and drops etc but she hasn't turned before on the judges command.

Jules my girls have done this in the past on the judges command and I just shake my head and think OMG how smart are they, (well I actually think smart little cow) but what gets me is that they always get it right and it is usually a beautiful turn on their part

After yesterdays great effect Orlando decided bugga class this morning & stuffed up just about everything :(

I think he was missing his half a roll of Peperonie salami he got that was fed to him by my OH :D after we did the morn trial

Orlando was funny while doing the heel work  , pacing around like an Arabian show pony, & doing the sit stay with his front legs crossed  our score was Heelwork 25points, SFE 19points, Recall 17points, Stays 30points, total 91points

Congrates to you Wuffles for getting your pass

The World Obedience Championships were on in Paris last weekend. This dog placed 2nd overall and bits (the tail wagging, distance control and the inbetween exercises) reminded me so much of my Scoota :D

Interesting to watch the different exercises and the fact that judges hold up scores after each one.

I see Zuma, Scoota, Alex and the mighty Guinea all rolled into one...amazing dog

I love the tail!!! Especially when she leaves the dog for the recall, the tail just didn't stop! :)

Sending off our first CCD trial entry today :D It's in 6 weeks time.

Our last herding test for the year is in 2 weeks, so full steam ahead into obedience. I was going to try for one more title in herding this year (season ends in August) but it requires more pressure than she can handle atm. :o

I'm sooooo excited, been 10 years since I last did an obedience trial, and that was painful! I have been training her at home following (most of) the Leerburg DVD's, and proofing while waiting around at shows. She did her first class situation this week with Luci Ellem, and was rock solid in her work (well apart from the subtle games of tug between exercises......some people were looking at me like I was mad  ) We have another 6 weeks to keep improving.

I've been following this thread for months and gained quite a few hints and tips, thanks everyone. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas as I feel I failed my last dog when it came to trialling. This time I know what I want to achieve.

How exciting  Now you will have to be a regular visitor and let us know how training progresses over the next 6 weeks and how you go on the day.

Don't forget the video ;)
