I have a pair like that, RV, but they don't really seem comfortable or warm or practical enough for the ring? :o

If it is acceptable to wear sneakers than I shall continue wearing sneakers I guess

Just for you wuffles I googled 'formal sneakers' ;)

Here are some more options :D Oddly if you ever decide to try your hand at DWD they would suit that too

I'm only new to trialling, but I have a pair of black skate shoes that I wear. Not as "sneakerish" as runners, and as they're black you notice them less.

My OH just bought a pair of RM Williams that look great with jeans- maybe a pair of them? He says they're super comfy.

With the rain that's been falling here today, I think I'll be packing my gumboots for Sunday's trial, especially if Berwick's grounds have the reputation of staying soggy :)

I am a little particular about what I wear in the fact I like the colours to work. However I do wear sneakers.

I wear training pants that are what we normally train in, but newer ones - so like yoga type pants. I wear a shirt or top that matches my dogs collar.

So Last time I had on black pants (I have light dogs) sneakers and a red top. My male dog had a collar with a design that was blue and had red in it and a red lead. My femal dog had a red black and grey collar and a red lead.

I see dogs sports as that and thing sprots wear is more than appropriate. My friend however trialed in jeans and docs, very neat and all matching as well, but probably not what I would wear.

I tend to colour co-ordinate too :D At one stage I would co-ordinate my top with the dogs collar and lead and my watch band! Oh and the number holder arm band as well  Nowadays I'm inclined to be a tad more casual at normal trials (and wear joggers) but for the biggies I will make more of an effort and I wear nice black lace up shoes from the chemist. I always wear black pants as they don't show the dirt and dog hairs so much!!!!

I couldn't trial in black pants, could you imagine the amount of yellow lab hair all over those! Edit: actually, for my first Western Classic trial, I wore 3/4 black pants and a button up short sleeved shirt.

I usually wear jeans in winter, and in summer, I normally wear 3/4 pants. My sneakers are black so they don't stand out as much. Top wise, for normal trials, just polos or a tshirt. For big events like the State or the Royal, I wear a dressier top, still with jeans ;)

Oh yes Nik Berwick ground does have the rep of staying soggy :) I trialed there last year 2 days after itrained & it was still yuk under foot

Yes I do have a good set for the Royal :D

For other trials I nornally wear black pants & a nice top :)

OSS if I colour co-ordinate with Orlando's collar & lead geeeeessss I would be all Black, boots & all

his collar & Lead I got from England embossed with celtic design, made from Bridle leather, the best leather you can get on the market, just for Whippets

Wow! People dress up for trials??? I wear my normal old joggers, a pair of jeans or track pants (waterproof) if it's a bit wet or windy and usually my obedience club's shirt but if I can't be bothered finding it or it's not clean I'll just wear any old T-shirt or Polo. My dogs all have black leads and collars and I pretty much never buy coloured ones so they can never clash with each other! LOL

Just wondering if any of you have seen my thread in this forum about your training schedule during the week while you are leading up to a trial or are regularly trialling. I haven't had many responses and would love to know what everyone else does!

I admit I once carried around Blaize fur in my purse for over a year trying to find the perfect coloured toller pants AND when I first started trialling I used to change my pants in the back of the car so they matched the colour dog I had in the ring - those were the days

In a normal trial its usually trackie pants for me but the big ones I always make an effort to look spiffy ;)

Just an update... Toby has had a slack few weeks just doing "bites" of training (when I walk past the pantry I grab a few bits of kibble and the clicker and only train until it runs out) but Toby's doodling is coming on great. His heelwork duration is slowly building and is rear end awareness is going great, he had a moment today when he realised the thing we do on the phonebook is the same if we do it on the ground!!!

His fronts :o Not too happy, he is sometimes coming in a bit short and other times stopping so close I am scared he will knock me over. Also no turns yet! Have not had the time to learn the footwork! :o

I will join you RV in putting fronts and turns on the training list for the next couple of weeks

A little clip of STrauss Mouse taken at training tonight (thanks Bedazzled). Its a work in progress but I am pleased with how it is going considering at one stage he was going to be a stud/show dog only.

Strauss really is looking great, Ptolomy - so happy and proud of himself, bless him.

I'm with you Seita - I do tend to try to look a little bit neater for obedience than I do for agility and definitely neater than for tracking

I can't help it, my dressage horses were always trimmed and had make up on! I always liked to start looking like a millon bucks ( well kind of, no pair of yoga type pants can look like a millon bucks!) and hope it carry's through. Also I think in general it creates a good first impression.
