I wonder why she rested her head on Daisy's head!

Possibly because she's reeeeally old and finds bending over a challenge?? :provoke:

K9: Hopefully too old to have DOL internet....

PMSL!

Hey sas - your welcome to borrow a little of a certain black and white's enthusiasm - urgh I wish she would give a little bit to her older sister cos she could sure use a dash more and Kenz a little less at the moment.

Maybe that is what she has been trying to tell Ness all day :provoke:

Good luck for the trial on the weekend huski - sure Daisy will be brilliant.

Sas - you can have some of Jedi's enthusiasm, too!!!! Though we are finally making progress and he isn't forging anywhere near as much as he did at the trial on the weekend. What a shocker! Fingers crossed he remembers his brain on Sunday!

Good luck, Huski!!!!!!!!

Good luck Huski and TN!! And you too sas when you do your secret debut ;)

Millie debuts in Novice not this weekend but the following one, fingers crossed she can keep up the focused work when that lead comes off :)

We have 3 Novice trials (including a double header) before the Royal, so if the next 3 are disastrous I know not to bother entering her at the Royal where there will be spectators :p

Well I shall send you 'pass' vibes! I hear even the awesome dogs do weird things at the Royal so you just never know

Awesome dogs certainly do do strange things at a Royal - which is why my number 1 awesome dog isn't entered this year. Oh so close yet so far was enough to do my head in  . Ah well will go along and cheer another couple of even more awesome dogs :) .

Amber is coming along nicely. Her heeling is pretty nice, recall nice and enthusiastic, stays getting there BUT I can't get her to stand without luring  Every time I try and fade the lure she goes 'nope not standing'. She has pretty much got everything after one showing but seems to have no comprehension at all as to what 'stand' is.

I've tried going back to the beginning (several times). I've physically stood her, not good as I end up with a squirming pup on the floor. I tried a different luring technique yesterday (from nose to throat), no go, couldn't get her to stand at all that way. Have also tried to get her stand for dinner, only works if I use the bowl in a luring manner. If I try to shape it she just drops.

She sits, drops, recalls and heels with no food in sight.

Any ideas??

Do any of the SA DOLers know if there's a mock trial happening soon, I need to get Pebbles out in open obedience, also need to get her measured for agility & obedience, thinking of doing the MVA in October so need to get all these things done NOW , no pressure .
