No? Do you have any information on that, Sas?

Just a 50:50 ratio with water in a bottle and then pour over after bath, scrap off excess water and then dry.

We haven't had Folliculitis for years thank heavens, however this did help last time we had it.

The same ratio in a Spray Bottle too for day to day use.

Obviously not to be used on open wounds etc.

Great! Thanks Sas! We will give it a go!

I've just realised as I work through the agility right from the start book(yes I love this book :bolt: ) that I've always used a food reward after a click never a toy and the reward always comes from my hand, I never throw it or send the dog to a remote reward, which is why my dogs can't keep their eyes off me which is great for obedience not so much for agility. I'm learning something new everyday, thought I'd share :provoke: .

You have to laugh at some people when they train their dogs - but it is because they dont know better :swear:

We have had great work from Mason this week - dont know if its because he has basically had a scratch free week for some reason ( I have no clue what it is.... it cannot be the immunotherapy kicking in yet???) but I am very happy with him - SHOCK, HORROR, we are even doing sit stays - which means he will be ready for the club comp on the 12th, I am even now hoping for a pass

K9: Hey Sas glad it worked! Your a great aim too!

Thanks! The aim has been the hardest thing! I had everyone at obedience laughing my first weeking doing it, I sounded like I was hacking up a fur ball and I never aimed well but we're getting there now!

Now to stop him lagging in heel! :provoke:

K9: hocking up? your putting food in your mouth right?

Lagging in heel, hmm 150 ways to fix that, just choosing the right one I guess... :provoke:

LOL Hacking whoops.

I know why he lags - it's motivation but that's my fault, because he was such a prick of a young dog I was always about him being calm and not a dick and I kinda stuffed it up and now you can't rev him up *bangs head*

The lessons I have learned LOL

K9: without writing a book here, as he goes into the heel position, motivation is there, but when heel movement comes it is signalling the wrong message in his head.

It is signalling reward wont be coming soon so he loses interest, yes?

I might try retraining the heel with a new phrase and being a bit more surprising with the reward closer to the beginning.

If he lags at the beginning you certainly need more motivation, if he lags after 5 seconds for eg, I might think your running out of drive and this may be either genetic or habit. There are ways to fix either though.

Great work Sas - what a huge improvement!!

We have a trial this weekend, Daisy's stay training has been going well and she did a two minute down stay in the pouring rain on Monday night so fingers crossed she keeps it up and we get through stays (and all the other exercises) and do them well like I know she can.

Yeah I think so, I think when we initially take off he like cool there should be food coming anytime soon and then it doesn't come when he expects it and lag.

If he's just not in the mood then he'll lag from the begining, today he was not in the mood from stepping out the door.

Me too, my nerves are a killer, it is not Daisy that stuffs it up but me :provoke:

Our judge is the judge we had in our first ever trial, she is the only judge Daisy has ever broken a SFE under. The judge is older and sort of rested her hand on Daisy's head and Daisy stepped back with a WTF look on her face so you can guess what I have been training a lot of with our SFEs :)

We find with conformation showing that alot of the dogs don't feel comfortable with some of the Older judges - there's alot of thought that it's because of the medication they tend to be on especially heart meds.

I wonder why she rested her head on Daisy's head!
