Tiggy I am not sure, maybe we could find somewhere halfway between you and me, any ideas? I train Mason at the park over the road from me mostly, I only work 3 mornings a week at the moment so I am sure we could fit it in, I will be going to agility from next week on a wednesday night if we pass the assessment.

Ptolomy I am having a 'special lesson' tomorrow lol

Half way between Tiggys and MM... my house?:rofl:

We could do somewhere in Midland though (yes I am including myself)

Tiggy they did do an annoucment at class which was particularly effective as only 3 people turned up for obidience. I think a little Eastern Surburbs club between me, you and MM is probably the way to go! :mad

You guys could call it the DOL Dog Club and become ANKC affiliated  ;)

Ugh that sounds like so much paperwork and I think you need to have more then 3 members to be ANKC affiliated.

Look what WE found on our trip to Melbourne...

It seems we will be heading back to Sydney with 6 dogs instead of 5!!!!!!!

Her name is Fable and she is going to be my OH's first performance dog (agility and flyball). She'll hit the show ring soon, too.

Awwwww it's 'Blue Girl'!! :(:o:mad

Ohhhhhhhhh she's adorable! Was this a planned addition or did you get tempted when you went to visit the puppies? :o

We were looking into getting a Mittel Spitz for my OH to train for flyball and agility and after speaking to some people about the breed we decided against it. So we were looking for an extra addition for him at some point and just fell in love with her when we went to visit. She is really outgoing, confident and had a good play with us when we visited! So a bit of a surprise but she has fitted in SO well already!

Fable is so cute!

Me and RS had the rally seminar today, it was very motivating and I am even more excited at training towards Rally and hopefully eventally original obidience if I don't get to scared..

We have the assesment/trial run through tomorrow and me and Lincoln will be aiming to not embrassas ourselves too much!

Well we had our second obedience trial today and it was a HUGE improvement on the first one - my nerves were way better

Daisy dropped out of drive just as we were walking into the ring, so we lost a few points at the start of our heel pattern as she had her nose to the ground but she bought it back and didn't miss a beat after the first bit. Scored an 8/10 for her SFE and 19/20 for her recall and 20/20 for her sit stay... sitting on 85 which is pretty average but you know, still a passing score... then sat up with 30 seconds to go on her down stay - :o

But I am so pleased with her as it was a massive improvement on both our parts compared to our first trial, I am feeling more and more confident we are capable of pulling it together under pressure for the next one :o

What a bundle of joy Fable looks :mad and whats even better is that you other half is into dogs and wants one of his own  Looking forward to hearing more Fables :o

Bugger about the down stay Huski - did anything get her attention or do you think that she just got up because there was nothing happening. What do you think you can do next time to stop her dropping out of drive on the way to the start post. Just remember you still got to take the best dog home :o Well done!

She's a feisty one, that's for sure!

My OH LOVES dogs... He's never trained one before though, so Fable will suit him well! She's not as crazy as Miss Soaks!! :o He's doing TID with her, so she might end up that way though!

Thanks Sandi :)

Will have to watch the video back to really get a good idea, but she hit the end of the leash and ran into me on a turn and that is normally enough to jolt her off the scent and make her go 'hey - wait we're working!'

It's not normally a problem we have so it is hard to train for, normally sitting waiting at the start post makes her frustrated (not a bad thing for Daisy) and even more keen and ready to work. I did get her attention and focus back on me before we heeled off but I knew it wasn't quite enough for what I needed. Sure enough she had her nose down a few steps in but at least I got her back!

When she's on she's really on and when I got her back she was giving me some lovely work and didn't miss a beat so that is definitely a positive!

Bad luck huski! Good luck for tomorrow :o Third time lucky :)

LOL Thanks Amps, I hope so, we have the home ground advantage at least
