Tiggy
Toby so does not get obidience heeling, I am thinking having him just as an agility dog since I have to leave him behind when I move out and I don't think I will have time for both if we aren't living togther. ;) I those who do both. I think I'd have a nervous breakdown .
Tiggy
The problem with obidience is I have no idea what I am doing, nor do I understand it. Maybe some of these WA experts can give me a some training advice, especially one who recently did some winning at Bunbury and also trials a retriever. ;) Hint hint RubyStar . I know Ptolomy and bedazzled train at K9. Love to tag along for that .

I will only be moving out if the parents won't let me have another Chessie in a couple of years. ;) But at the moment agility is enough, maybe obidience can be a retirement thing. But then if I get that other dog eventually I doubt I will have time.

She said "expert", so she couldn't possibly mean me I think she meant to say especially one who recently did some winning at Bunbury and also trials an Aussie. RubyStar
Toby so does not get obidience heeling, I am thinking having him just as an agility dog since I have to leave him behind when I move out and I don't think I will have time for both if we aren't living togther. I those who do both. I think I'd have a nervous breakdown . I've started doing agility with my two on top of obedience. I feel Ruby is ready, she is confident enough in obedience, especially heeling, to not be affected by working on different sides for agility and knows when she should focus on me for obedience and when she should focus on the obstacles ;) I just think she is mature enough (in Lab terms!) now to cope with learning both We're having a ball, too! JulesP
I do agility and herding! The only problem is I am struggling with time for comps, lol. Everything seems to clash and I teach all Sunday morning. Think I need to concentrate on one thing at a time. Also think I need to move to WA!!! My question for the week is - feet! Who does the T feet stuff and who just turns. And if you just turn how do you turn? lol. I am thinking so hard about my feet that I have a delay each time I am asked to turn. Doesn't look very smart. Seeing as I have been doing the T turns for years and years it is obviously not going to become muscle memory! Watched some You Tube last night but the people I like move so smartly that I can't see what they are actually doing with their feet.
RubyStar
I was googling dog clubs and somehow stumbled across this (novice jumping results). See guys, those "Occasionally Clever" dogs were mere mortals at one stage, too I usually picture these two born Obedience Champions 3rd - Ptolomy Choc Chip CD (NSDTR)4th - Tuscamada Designer Made CD (Aust Shep)

RubyStar
But their names look so.... LONELY!! I'll be pretty ecstatic when Ruby gets her CD, she's working nicely these days. As opposed to getting her CCD where her work was so below average I wasn't excited over that title when I should have been being our first! huski
I will be over the moon when Daisy gets her CCD title. Hopefully we will do it in as close to three trials as possible of course by that stage we will probably be almost ready for retirement
ness
Ness's name for a long time just had CD JD . RubyStar you should do DWD with your girls then you could have less lonely looking names . There titles are nice and long and impressive looking . ETA. Just look at midgets 1 title is DWDF.S (so 5 letters ) then you have HTM.S (4 letters). pie
I'll be happy with a JD title but funnily enough I think we have more chance of an AD title
ness
amypie I was running agility at training last night thinking maybe I should have entered NA too.
pie
I seem to have broken his jumping.. he gets quite unmotivated during it, but loves agility because he finds the obstacles really rewarding. Oops
RubyStar
Sorry ness, the DWD and HTM titles don't really appeal to me But love watching the dogs do their thing! Dancing isn't for us I'd love an NRD title but not gonna happen when I don't have time to train it
ness
Kenz runs off to the nearest contact obstacle and puts herself on it in the hope of a treat . ETA. RubyStar - why not - HTM is just essentially obedience to music . Truthfully it is. Edited April 9, 2010 by ness

Hopefully we will do it in as close to three trials as possible of course by that stage we will probably be almost ready for retirement I'm sure you will! She works lovely. We did it in 4. The first trial she laid down in her sit stay and that was our best score of the lot The next 3 were our passes but pretty darn average

My feet need serious training, sorry I can't help you with this one! Some funky footwork on the weekend caused a 270 degree left turn

Dancing isn't for us I'd love an NRD title but not gonna happen when I don't have time to train it I think retrieving titles are my most coveted, because they are so hard to get! There is a Chessie here that is dual Ch. Sh and Retrieveing! For Toby any title will be fine but I think even JD is quite a while off! and AD might be late next year What do rally titles look like?
