Not long back to our apartment from tonights group judging and BIS award. The doberman was outstanding. I've seen some awesome show dogs in my time but BOY was this team magic to watch.

Will be busily saving hard so I can return next year!

The Border Collie we came over to cheer on was awarded a great Award of Merit.

If anyone is thinking about coming to NYC and attending Westminster, my advice to you would be DO IT

I love this city and the show is simply breathtaking. I also got to do plenty of stuff this time that I haven't got to do on prevous visits. Tiffany's among them

Flying to LA tomorrow for a few days and then home to my dogs.

Isnt Tiffanys great!!!! Woohoo maybe you can keep me company next year while OH does whatever :-) GLad you had a great time

Been to Crufts & personally would never go again.

There are better shows in the UK which for dog people are more user friendly to see the dogs.It is very hard to watch judging there.

Westminster being limited entry also means you dont get to see the great dogs but like Crufts is a show that is about the atmosphere.

The top 5 ranked dogs in each breed get invitations and guaranteed entry to Westminster, so the great dogs are there typically.

I have been to Crufts and really liked it. I have been to Westminster 12 times and have always had a GREAT time! I also really enjoy the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.

My favorite show I have attended/exhibited was the World Dog Show in Mexico City in 2007.

For the crazy fun, I'd go for Westminster (plus, the extreme-ness of showing in the USA amuses me :offtopic: ), and frankly, I prefer the style of my breed over there. Though of course it would be lovely to see 300+ Borders in one spot, as they also have their breed champ show close to Crufts. But from what I've heard, Crufts is very tiring & difficult to see anything etc.

Would absolutely love to go to World Show one day... get to see so many different breeds that we just don't have here.
