tarope
I would never pat a strange dog, but as for mine they love it.
HugUrPup
I never just pat a strange dog on the head.. I let them sniff my hands and I say hello in a cutesy voice first and then ask the owner if they mind a pat. Then I stroke on the head and scratch behind the ears and pat on the back.. oh and a scratch on the base of the tail where they are always itchy but can never reach.. if you scratch any dog there they melt and are instantly wrapped around your finger Ollie doesn't like to be touched at all on the head.. he has always cowered.. not sure what the issue there is but i have never seen a dog cower from people unless abused.. I doubt he was abused at the place he came from, so yeh.. maybe there is some truth to dogs not liking it *shrugs* Miley on the other hand loves a stroke and kiss on the head and loves me grabbing her ears while I use my silly smoochie voice her tail wags so hard she starts dancing. 7464
Here are some more. He's still a leggy youngster with more head development and body development to go. He's extremely handsome and beautifully natured though. He was bred by a DOL member called "Zurhaan" and she leased Ashanali's bitch, Sunni, for the mating. Solid pointers are not common in Australia but hell they should be! Hopefully they will become more popular with time. Noooooooooooooooooooo, I do not want a pointer. I do NOT want a pointer. Aww, damn he's cute. Yes you dooooo!!! I've never had a dog make so much eye contact (when there are no distractions that is!) but he will sit with me for hours while I "pat" him and kiss him and he just stares into my eyes. Seriously having a pointer is more romantic than having a bloke. They eat about as much though. Cody stares at me until he falls asleep. I love that dog and I suspect if I was to anthromorphise, I could say he loves me too. Really I just think he knows he has no thumbs so he can´t prepare his own dinner and open the gate for walkies and drive the car to the lake and and and....
