centitout
Had a great time today at Crookwell with the bloodhound pair-they behaved better than i hoped.Mainly they wanted to just sleep. Awful weather, next time i will take a tent, but the people were friendly, judge was really nice with me and my daughters very apparent lack of handling skills, and we were given some great advice from some experienced showies. No bitchiness at all :D And Bella beat Edward for BOB,I wasnt going to show him as he hurt himself the other day,but has appeared fine for the last 2,so in he went. Our stacking is still crap, but getting better, and the pups were very well behaved, they didnt even slobber on the judge. They got to meet some beautiful dogs from other breeds, were patted and played with. Great day Edited February 14, 2010 by centitout

centitout
[attachment =205047:hannah_and_bella.JPG]Pics from yesterday-and yes,i know my handling was crap, very nervous and i do the whole 2 hands on the lead-habit from many years leading thoroughbred horses around I was just stoked that the pups handled it so well, and that i didnt fall over or anything! Alyosha
They looked GORGEOUS in the ring!! I had my hands too full to come and chat - was on my own with the borzoi and saluki monsters for the day. And I didn't have the gazebo either or I would've offered to share. Mine was the naughty borzoi pup who escaped and rang into the terrier ring when I took my eyes off her... But they really did you credit - they look fantastic. centitout
So far i am getting very favourable comments about Bella, despite being an unpopular colour both from show people, other breeders and 2 judges.Which is why i made the decision to send her off to proffessional show people for 12 months,as much as i'd like to show her,i cant really do her justice. She heads off on wednesday to victoria, and will be shown again in 2 weeks i think. If she doesnt work out she will head straight back here.
