Nazrelle
Jan Edwards was a well known All breeds Judge, Committee member of the CCCQ, a main organiser of Dog of the Year and Puppy of the Year QLD, owner of Moggil Pet Motel QLD and the breeder of 'Mingus' Beagles and Foxhounds. I have 3 of Jan's Foxhounds and you will find there profile on DOL so I feel I have the right to post to the forum. That's very sad Was Jan a DOL member? Nazrelle
Re: Jan Edwards (Jeffs) I never thought of cards, Peter and Jan address is Moggill Pet Motel 564 Kangaroo Gully Rd, Moggill 4070 QLD. The CCC(Qld) might do something I am not sure but you are right she was a great ambassador and her and Peter's commentary at the EKKA each year was great as it made the dog showing easier to understand for the general public. KitKat
Aahhh...her name was familier but i couldn't work out why - i was wondering it i knew the name from DOL as well, but instead from other places. Jan, rest in peace within the company of the fourfoots who have waited on the other side of the bridge.

Starkehre
I didn't know Jan, but nazrelle has spoken of her many times to me. People like Jan are far and few between. She will be sorely missed I know it brought much comfort to Jan to have Rellie take on her Foxhounds, as they are in a wonderful home. Rellie you have always been a dear friend to Jan, and she was so proud of your amazing achievements with Hennessey and now with Nettle. Rellie, I know how upset you are to lose your gorgeous friend Jan, and I am so sorry. My condolences to Peter and family at this very difficult time. Rest in peace Jan. No more pain and fatigue. Ashanali
And for people around my age, Jan was the go to person for many junior handlers for alot of years. She is also one of very few people who was brave enough to take me aside a few years ago and tell me I looked terrible and she was concerned. She's good people. Farewell Jan. RIP. Nazrelle
I am going to print every one of your replies and make a booklet for Peter, the girls and grand kids, I am sure one day when the hurt eases it will bring comfort to them to know you all cared. badboyz
I'm very sorry to hear of Jan's passing. I heard last week her time was close. She was always helpful and never condescending to others. I spoke to her at a dogshow only at the end of last year. She and Peter have been so very dedicated to the dogworld, even through her illness. I've no doubt she will be resting with God. She will certainly be missed. My condonlances to Peter and her family.
