GeckoTree
BOOF, the dog whose maltreatment shocked animal lovers throughout Australia, has found a new home. The neglected and brutalised dog, whose treatment at the hands of a callous owner was revealed by The Cairns Post last month, is now poised for a life of love and luxury at Kuranda. The image of the two-year-old bullmastiff-cross chained to two concrete building blocks with a 30kg chain generated an outpouring of offers of help. Boof was rescued by a neighbour, who witnessed his former owner beat him with a steel pole, punch him and also try to break his legs. RSPCA Far Northern regional inspector Cameron Buswell said "the lady we have found is experienced with dogs and he is going to a completely different environment where he will get attention 24/7". http://www.cairns.com.au/article/2010/02/0...local-news.html Edited February 8, 2010 by GeckoTree

mita
Isn't Boof beautiful! I bet the creep who harmed him will fall foul of the law in WA, for something else.
