Blue Fox 001
You won't get the choppy look if you use a #30 under your S/S blades I have been using them for about 18 months over a #30 and they are great. You might find that once you get proficient at f,f & t you'll want a #30, I started with a #15 but quickly got jack of how quickly he got furry again so now it's a #30 for us. Clyde
I've had customer service issues with Clipperworld and will no longer use them. A waste of a hundred or so dollars. Feather Edge also stuffed up my one and only order from them, even though it was rectified and stressful I didn't ever receive an apology. The SS combs look nice on a Cocker The #30 is best to use the combs with but I guess that's personal opinion. I always get a smooth finish but rule of thumb with the combs is to comb back and go over. I also let the coat rest for 5-10 minutes and do other things (nail, feet etc) and quickly go over the coat again. You will find it gives a really nice finish. From memory The Barf Shop has a good price on SS combs.

Have worked for Clipper World in the past and they had excellent customer service principles and Feather Edge also has a an excellent name with professional groomers. Cala
Have always had excellent service with Clipperworld. No problems at all, nice staff and good turnaround times! :D
poodlefan
I have Andis two speed clippers. No complaints here. :D Only issue I've had is the cord attachment breaking. It was a cheap fix.
nicestman77
Next time the Andis cord breaks, go down to the hardware, and buy a new 2 core cord, and get away from that Andis cord, and it won't happen again.
Sagittarian
This is a great thread and it is wonderful to have advice from someone who does know what they're talking about - nicestman!! However... But if it doesn't go at all, these days I would go for the Wahl SS, buy it from Clipperworld, because they will look after you if you have any problems.Other sellers you will have fun with, which you don't need. We are an onseller, and while we don't specialise in clippers and accessories, we certainly do look after any issues that arise. Personally, I love the SS Wahl. Have mine that I purchased about 13 years ago and it still goes beautifully. Seeing as I groomed full time for 2 years, plus had show dogs, I am happy I purchased that. Interesting to hear about the internals of the Oster, explains a lot. Sags

It could be something silly, most of the times it is, but if I can't get it going, the service is FREE. I enjoy a challenge. Send your home phone number, so I can Skype you and chat, if there are any decisions to make. I look forward to receiving them.
