nadz
Hi everyone! I just want to check with someone whether I understand the feeding guide on my puppy's food. It's Royal Canin Junior Dachshund Formula (yes I got sucked in by his picture on the packaging lol). So It says that for a dog with an adult weight of 4kgs (Which I'm guessing he will be as he is a miniature), at 3 months old he should be getting 95G of kibble for the day (so a third for brekkie, lunch and dinner). Does that seem right? It just seems like a lot more than i've been giving with his old kibble but he had mince with that too. In the Royal Canin cups it equates to a cup and 1/8th a day. He seems to be a good weight at the moment. Thanks in advance!
Gretel
Hi nadz. I'm yet to follow a feeding guide on food. They are usually rather generous with their suggestions! I give them the amount that looks right and judge by how well they are doing on it. Some dogs need quite a bit of food and others do very well on a lot less.
