MonElite
In Polish Artur :p His comands were Noga - heel Siad - sit Fuj - out (yuck) Bierz go - get him and Dobry Pies - he was saying it ALL the time It was just so home like, I think next dog I will train in Polish. Mind you Furia has some comands in Polish and majority of every day stuff at home they understand in Polish. As I said my dogs are bilingual Now I throw my dogs into the car forcefully yelling TRUCK and then I say Dobry Pies. :p Rediculous, need to hang around with some people that I normally train with and get back to normality Edited February 3, 2010 by MonElite

Kavik
Lots of talk of 'building value' 'reinforcement line' and 'placement of reinforcement' here from SG
Staff'n'Toller
I always try to do the motivational toy naming stuff but I can never make it sound the same... :D I have started saying "Cheata" after they break position- and that's only said once on the One Jump DVD!!!! Not sure how it rubbed off. Plus it's reinforcement for breaking- all bad!!! :D Edited February 3, 2010 by Staff'n'Toller
kelpiechick
Now that I have found myself saying 'give dat to da mama' when I take the toy out of my young dog's mouth I know that I have truly made it as a SG junkie !
PAX
Now that I train with Vickie, I say 'stop' to all dogs in my care..haha. 'Stop' command seems to work really well with dogs when you need them to stop.
Vickie
Stop is a funny one & yep it just seems to work even with dogs who don't know it. It seems to mean about 5 things to my dogs, but they seem to be able to put it in context each time. I wonder if it works b/c of the unconscious body language we tend to associate with the word? After watching some Caesar Milan I really like his claiming the space motion and use it all the time. It works with people too! I also use "Eh" a lot as an interrupter, again I think I got this off Caesar. I heard my husband say it last night & smiled to myself.

Another fan of 'stop' here - works really well with my Rory at least in normal circumstances - and you're right, Vickie - seems to work even though I haven't consciously trained it. And Eh (and Eheh) - or the variant - the good old dog training command "Oi" is useful too - but I didn't get those from Cesar.
Erny
...the good old dog training command "Oi" is useful too ... LOL - "Oi" is so universal. I use it on children who are doing things they ought not to, as well . Sometimes I think for them it is the shock of a stranger saying it. Hhhhmm .... wonder if I should use the water spray bottle on them if "Oi" doesn't work.
