voloclydes
ok so this weekend another show the first for awhile.... the security system aka leo the dumatain... is take for the ride to sit up proudly in the cart looking regal. also to as the reputation suggests to protect our truck from passers by... well he spent saturday arvo following cart all good... the it got DARK :D :D well the famous bump in the night .... at tea time... where was leo? .... under the chair... ;) ok so given the benefit of the doubt.... sunday his jobs now don't forget... protect the gear from strangers (that being people he did not know) well he adopted every human that came to say hello... then in between slept in his crate. he however on 2 occasions protect us fiercely from the toy poodle with about 6 rosettes stuck all over it.. and the strange foxie that passed by... so that is a fail on job number one.... job number 2 sit upright in the cart and be alert for danger... un no it's much nicer curling up in the tray of the sulky.. oh and tasting the stewards with his big snappy tongue.... so job number 2 a big fail.... ;) so as a breed dumbmantians have a rep for being snappy, protective and energetic.... he appears to be defective do you think as a breed thing we should return him for replacement?????? sandgrubber
I've come across a few Dal owners who might be willing to offer you a trade. Personally, I specialise in retrievers who don't bring things back. (Retrieving is the kelpie's job.) Gayle.
I can relate. I have a shepherd that hides behind his mummy's legs when he sees sheep.
Bundyburger
I have a 4mth old hunting dog who prefers sleeping to pinging around like an energiser bunny.. I think he's broken. He doesn't even register that a tennis ball is for chasing, it's simply for carrying in his books!
voloclydes
would any one swap their doggie? not me..... even tho he adopted one of the visting friends his eyes were firmly on his mummy....... yes he's also a mummies boy. the jrt plays soccer with a basket ball... and not one other dog or the grass is allowed near HIS ball. for one of our farm turnout class we were gunna use the foxie cross as a (foxiexchi) foxie stand in for rabbits, why cause the 2x jrt would both exit the cart at speed. Ons
I have a broken retreiver and a broken coolie here at the sheep up the road, the coolie hides behind his mummy and the retreiver takes a great interest in them and barks the big tough foster cattle dog carries toys around in his mouth (ummm Im sure he didnt' get that from the retreiver ) and the male retreiver is petrified of the noise of thunder - ummm wasn't he bred to be beside his owner as they fire off guns? but I wouldn't swap the three of them for all the tea of China and hope that the foster dog finds a lovely home
