Odin-Genie Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 Hi, My two year old goldy seems to shed the top covering of her nails. Sometimes a whole layer comes off in the shape of her nail. I've never seen this before. Is this normal? She is due for her annual check up next month, but do I need to consult a vet before that? She's otherwise healthy and there is no bleeding/soreness in her paws. But her nails don't look very strong. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

First Time Puppy Owner Posted February 1, 2010 Share Posted February 1, 2010 (edited) Sorry Odin - not sure I know my cat loses the whole outer sheath of the nail as you find them suck in the couch but I have not seen any from either of my Goldies?!?!
