Cavalblaze
Just wondering if anyone has found iridology (pronounced eye-ri-dology) for dogs accurate? For those who don't know what it is, Iridology is to see our level of health through looking at eyes. I have had one of my dogs done and I'll be certainly following up on some blood tests to see if there is any thing meantioned from the screening that is correct. I do Iridology on human patients as part of a herbal consultation but animals don't have the same kinds of iris and markings humans have - never heard of anyone practicing canine iridology in Australia either - where did you get your dog done at? Oh and it is also (more generally) pronounced Iri-dol-ogy in Australia .... Edited January 31, 2010 by FionaC

I saw a greyhound guy in Victoria who isn't qualified in this particular field but beleives he has self taught himself in dogs iridology. He has been practising for 20 years as a chiropractor/health consultant for greyhounds. He was well recieved by the greyhound community. Shall put his diagnoses to the test Monday! sas
There are a few practioners in Australia, not a great deal as the software to read the Canine Iris has only recently been developed and is pretty expensive and try getting a photo with the lighting correct of a dog eye! It's done on Horses quite a bit here. Edited January 31, 2010 by sas
