I'm Confused.... what is that all about - a permit is required when more than 5 animals housed on property??? I referred to the website, but the links as described are not there. I think it is just a reminder to DV members, that in some councils, if you own more than 5 dogs you are often required to have a permit - to be registered as a Domestic Animal Business. Linda K Posted February 1, 2010 Share Posted February 1, 2010 depends where you live - I know where I do, with our council, only those in the city areas do, where I am (on 38 acres) under that same council, due to the property size, we don't need a permit for either dogs or cats to go over the limit of 2 dogs or 2 cats.
