Canon Kit Lenses?

I have one of these that is cracker sharp and I never ever use it. If you're interested.

I guess my concern is that I don't even know why I would be interested, which is why I think I'll be happy with the twin lens kit which is part of the pack.

I think I'd be spending money on something I don't even understand.

The OH is a big researcher and likes to make sure he gets the best quality etc but in this case I think it's overkill. I think I've pretty much made up my mind, I just want to be able to explain why I've made the decision I have. I can be prone to impusle buy and I think he's worried I'm doing that, i.e. just buying the first thing I've seen rather than doing adequate research.

Plus for the money the other lens cost I'm going to buy a kindle instead.

Sounds like a great idea to me. I think it's a solid way to go.
