hollee Posted January 30, 2010 Share Posted January 30, 2010 I know it's a while yet but does anyone know this years judges for Royal Melbourne? In particular Group 5? I have looked on RAS website and Dogs Vic, but no joy yet, it only says schedules will be available soon. I am hoping against hope it won't be USA or close to but I doubt it. I wish they would have UK judges like they used to- even if it was occasionally. Particularly as so many working breeds originated in UK and yes I know not all But it would make a nice change. Overseas most judges are licensed per breed & not many meet the criteria to judge group. I agree, I too would love to see some Judges from the UK officiating! Perhaps travel expenses may play a role too... Dr T Jakkel from Hungary only judged at the Royal Melbourne Show in 2006, so I presume he will not be judging the same Groups as he did on that occasion. Royal Show Judges tend to re-appear quite frequently, one of the Canadian judges who officiated last year at the Melbourne Royal Show, also judged at Sydney Royal Show in recent years as well.
