mita
So Pele is an English breed, bred by a Greek, owned by Australians and with a Hawaiian name Pele's truly multi-cultural. I thought he must have been named after the Brazilian football player, too!!
kimzy
My Heart dog was a Chessy, her name was Sweetie Pie but we called her Pie Pie.
becks
I think it shows a lack of imagination to use a name from the country of origen for the breed. Their are to many called Otto or Oscar in my breed for example.
TerraNik
You should name your dog something that you like and can pronounce easily!! There are very few Finnish names I can pronounce and most of those have been used over and over again by Lappie owners here. My dogs are named after Star Wars characters! felix
I don't care about the country of origin. We picked Bruno for our brown standard poodle. The name is Italian, and normally refers to a man with brown hair (like male version of brunette).
♪♫LMBC♫♪
'Darcy' is apparently a Scottish/Gaelic name, which is very fitting I think But I didn't know that until after I named him, so it was entirely coincidental It suits him though...
