slk
Can anyone advice me if it would be beneficial to try one? Max pulls on his lead. He is a very 'enthusiastic' walker (he's enthusiastic at everything he does ). Are they good? Are they safe (ie he won't get out of it ?). Do they really cut down on the pulling? Interested to get peoples feedback. Cheers, Sara
Cosmolo
I have used sensible harnesses with success on some dogs but not on a pug. Almost all of the pugs i have trained have been on martingale collars. No tool will replace good training though- a dog can learn to ignore any piece of equipment! Cheers, Sara Hi slk, if you're thinking if joining up at Berwick maybe hold off on the harness, we will teach you ways to encourage your dog not to pull on the lead. slk
That's what I was thinking Paulp. Teach him not to pull (and to sit, heel & stay ) and it won't matter what I walk him on or with! When school goes back I'm making some enquiries. Cheers
Austerra
I have had quite a few customers buy them and have had good results, they take control of the shoulders by having the lead attachment loop at the front instead of between the shoulder blades, so the dog can't lean into it pull like they do with conventional harnesses. If they pull the shoulders get turned back towards you, similar principle to a halti / gentle leader and the like. I am at Beaconsfield.
